Real estate · AI enablement and workshop
Four departments, one day, four different bottlenecks
A real estate and property development company wanted generative AI and Microsoft Copilot inside the daily work of marketing, legal, technical and operations. Together with Apollogic and Wavestack we designed and delivered a full-day workshop that took every team from AI fundamentals to building their own custom GPT assistants.

In short
Why one generic session would not have worked
- Some people had experimented with ChatGPT on their own. Most had never used Microsoft Copilot at all. Leadership wanted structured adoption instead of scattered experimentation.
- The four departments needed different things: legal wanted contract summarisation and compliance risk, marketing wanted content and campaigns, technical wanted permit analysis, operations wanted reporting.
- So the exercises were split by department and used the company’s own scenarios, down to a mini campaign for one of their actual investment properties.
- Participants also learned to build their own GPT assistants and Copilot Studio agents, so a small automation no longer waits for IT.
The starting point
The challenge
Take four departments with different AI skill levels and different workflow needs and, in one day, give all of them the practical skills and the confidence to use Copilot and generative AI in their actual work, not just an understanding of what it is.
The teams across marketing, legal, technical and operations were at very different levels of AI familiarity. Some had experimented with ChatGPT individually; most had not used Microsoft Copilot at all.
Leadership wanted to move from scattered, informal experimentation to structured, company-wide adoption, focused on practical workflows rather than theory.
The difficulty was not only technical. Each department needed something different: legal wanted contract summarisation and compliance risk identification, marketing wanted content generation and campaign support, technical was looking at permit analysis, operations wanted reporting and communication streamlined.
The build
What we built
We designed and facilitated a full-day workshop, “AI in the Real Estate Industry”, combining the conceptual foundation with hands-on exercises built from the company’s real business scenarios.
Fundamentals, in real estate terms
How large language models work, what generative AI can and cannot do, and where it fits into document creation, summarisation, brainstorming and process automation. All of it grounded in real estate cases rather than generic examples.
Copilot inside the daily tools
Practical walkthroughs across Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Forms. Participants worked on their own scenarios: drafting emails, generating meeting summaries, producing reports, analysing data.
Each department on its own problem
Legal practised summarising contracts and identifying compliance risks. Technical explored building permit analysis. Marketing built a mini AI-powered campaign for one of the company’s actual investment properties.
Building their own tools
We introduced domain-specific GPT assistants and Copilot Studio agents for FAQ bots, document assistants and other repetitive tasks. The point was to let teams build a lightweight tool themselves rather than queue for IT.
Something to keep it going
We set up a structure for adoption after the day itself: a shared prompt library and a designated AI Champion in each department, because a workshop without a follow-through is a nice day out.
What changed
The results
All four departments left with skills they could apply immediately rather than an abstract understanding, and teams identified specific workflows where the tools save time.
Several began using them in production within the following week.
The day also showed the Apollogic Group’s combined reach: theBlue.ai on AI and LLMs, Apollogic on the Microsoft ecosystem, Wavestack on low-code automation, which together covered the full range the client needed.
